November 23/05:

Xera and Koal earned their two last legs towards their backpacking title, hiking 32 km (approx. 20 miles) from Wellington to Summerside (St.Eleanors) on the Confederation Trails. It was a beautiful day, mild but got colder during the day. A huge thank you to my great friend Andrea for helping me with the dogs! We left home at 9:20am and arrived back at 4pm (including a few breaks and lunch).

November 18/05:

Xera and Koal earned two legs towards their backpacking title, hiking 35 km (approx. 22 miles) from Wellington to Summerside (St.Eleanors) on the Confederation Trails. It was cold but we got a few sunny clearings and met a lot of trail users commenting on our beautiful dogs! See our pictures below, the first set are on their break before finishing the last 5 miles and the others are taken in Miscouche, PEI. We left home at 9:15am and got back home at 3:20pm (including a few short breaks).

 

 

May 8/2004:

On May 8, 2004, our fourth and last leg was completed for Acamute's and Aero's WPD Titles. We left Wellington following the Confederation Trails at 1:00pm, half way point into Richmond at 3pm and back home to Wellington at 5:00pm. It was a beautiful sunny day!

December 7/2004:

On December 7, 2003, our third leg was completed toward the WPD titles. We left Brackley at 11:20am walked to downtown Charlottetown on the waterfront to turn around and arrive back in Brackley at 3:30pm. The dogs really enjoyed it since we were walking in the snow the entire way!!

November 23/2004:

On November 23, 2003, Aero and Akamute got their second leg towards their backpacking titles. We left at 9:50 am, in North Wiltshire walking West on the beautiful confederation trails and arriving to our destination on 10 miles at 2:00 pm.

November 11/2004:

On November 11, 2003, we set out on a gorgeous day at 1:15 pm on the beautiful Confederation trails on Prince Edward Island, to complete a 10 mile hike with the dogs. ETheir first leg toward their WPD was a success finishing 10 miles at 5:15pm.

I wish to thank Elissa Kafka & Burt Kelly to help handle one of my dogs on the walks!! It was a big help!! Thank you!
