My interest in purebred dogs began as a young child. In 1989, my parents bought me my first registered Shetland Sheepdog. I named her Miquette. Miquette was the beginning of  a love for the world of purebred dogs. In 1995, I acquired my first Alaskan Malamute from Andre & Lise Lepine (Chabek Kennels) in Quebec, Canada. After being introduced to the show ring and the obedience ring, I was hooked!

In 1997, my first litter was born. Kodiak gave birth to four lovely puppies. These were: Ch. Akamute Etoile de L'Acadie WTD WPD, Ch. Abellure L'Acadie and Ch. Winnie Etoile de L'Acadie and Nico de L'Acadie. Three finished their championship quickly breeder/owner/handled by myself as a junior handler. Since then, I have acquired dogs from all over North America. I have sold dogs in various countries, all around the world including, Canada, USA, Spain, Austria, Iceland, France, Finland, and Estonia.

I am a former professional groomer (Pets Beautiful Inc. School of Dog Grooming, Ottawa, ON, Canada) and trainer (Morrison Canine Concepts Graduate Program, Vancouver Island, BC, Canada). In 2006, I graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology/Sociology) and continued my education at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, Maine, U.S.A. I've recently graduated with my Bachelor of Education degree and I am now working as a Middle School Teacher here on Prince Edward Island, Canada.

I strive to produce dogs that are sound in mind and body. I enjoy all aspects of the canine world and regularly compete in conformation, obedience and working (sledding, backpacking, etc.).  I have finished many Champions, Obedience Titles, many working titles (Working Pack Dog, Working Team Dog, Working Skijor Dog, etc.)
